The design reflects a diversity of styles and techniques and represents the figure of an athlete. The shapes and colors are distinctive and represent Australian culture.

The landmark of Sydney, the renowed Opera, play the leading part in three levels in the poster of 2000 Games. At the bottom part, we can see the landmark of the city. The emblem of the Games – reminding that in 1992 – shows the athlete crowned with the Opera’s “typical lines”. The same applies in the shadow of the athlete in dark blue background.
