This is the official Replica of the Athens 1896 Olympic Games Commemorative Medal, engraved by Greek painter Nikephoros Lytras and cast by W. Pitiner Wifn. On the one side, it presents a seated Nike holding a laurel wreath, a phoenix rising out of flames and Acropolis in the background. The logos of the Panathenaic Stadium and the Hellenic Olympic Committee are engraved on the other side of the medal.
