Handmade ceramic round bowl with 3D olive leaves on two sides and hand painted phrase on the inside: “I shall welcome you”, a phrase from Philostratus work “Lives of the Sophists”, written between 231 and 237 AD (translated by Wilmer Cave Wright, 1921), a treasury of information about notable sophists. the phrase is from the part that is dedicated to Herodes Atticus.
