An antefix is a greek ornament used from ancient times at the eaves of a classical building to protect the end of the joint tiles of the roof. This antefix is found in the propylaea which is the entrance to the Acropolis of Athens. This design is found on the lower roof line in front of the imbrices (overlapping roof tiles). It is made of Greek Marble.
